Mistake 1: American English spelling

Fix: Set your spell-checker to English (Australia) or English (United Kingdom). Convert: color→colour, organize→organise, center→centre, analyze→analyse, program→programme (non-software), license→licence (noun).

Mistake 2: A photo on your resume

Fix: Remove the photo. Including one signals unfamiliarity with the Australian market. The exception is acting, modelling, or roles where appearance is explicitly relevant — confirm with the employer first.

Mistake 3: Duty descriptions instead of achievements
