Teaching CVs in New Zealand follow specific conventions that reflect the requirements of the NZ Curriculum and the New Zealand Teachers Council (Mātātū Aotearoa). Here is what NZ schools and education providers expect.

NZ Teaching Registration — List It First

Your New Zealand Practising Certificate (NZPC) from the New Zealand Teachers Council must appear prominently on your CV — typically immediately below your contact details. Include: registration number, level (Provisional, Certified, or Lead), and expiry date. If you are an overseas-trained teacher, include your IQA (Incoming Qualified Assessment) status.

Teaching Philosophy Statement
